UPPF Warranty Policies

UPPF automotive window films generally come with 10 years warranty, though this may differ by product. Warranty applies to all ranges of film products (excluding accessories) only when installed by an authorized PPF installer. The warranty start date begins at the time ‘installation’ of the film (proof on installation invoice is required). Proper application, installation, use and care of your UPPF film product must be maintained throughout the warranty period.

THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY

At the time of installation, products with known or evident manufacturing flaws were installed. It is the installer’s responsibility to inspect the items prior to installation for any defects.

Not follow UPPF guidelines or recommendations.

Any film or paint surface damage produced by incorrect washing procedures, automated car washes, or the use of inappropriate or harmful wash or cleaningproducts or materials.

Damage caused by chemical or environmental contamination, including fuels, solvents, industrial fallout, tree sap, bird droppings, insect residue, or prolonged exposure to harmful substances, is not covered unless caused by a manufacturing defect.

 Improper cleaning products and/or used.

Any installation that isn’t done by a certified UPPF installer with current training, company licenses, and insurance.

Edge lifting or peeling caused by improper installation is not covered; however, widespread or full-panel lifting may be covered if confirmed to result from an adhesive manufacturing defect.

RECOMMENDED PROPER CARE FOR YOUR UPPF PRODUCTS

Do not wash your vehicle for at least 3 days to allow the adhesive to fully cure and set properly.

  Regular hand-washing is recommended:

  1. Wash by hand using soap, water, and a soft mitt that won’t scratch.

  2. Use a high quality microfiber towel or similar drying materials.
  3. Avoid spraying the film edges with a high-pressure nozzle hose, high powered pressure steam, or a power washer
  4. For best results avoid cleaning in direct sunlight.
  5. Remove all bugs, tar, oil, dirt, and other road grime from the film as soon as possible to prevent staining.

To prevent lifting, avoid automatic car washes and spraying the edges with a high pressure nozzle hose, high powered pressure steam or a power washer.

For best results avoid cleaning in direct sunlight.

Remove any and all bugs, tar, oil, dirt and other road grime from film as soon as possible to prevent staining.

UPPF reserves the right to deny claims that do not meet the criteria or are otherwise excluded or not within the warranty eligibility as described above.
